After watching "Antiques Road Show" on TV last night and witnessing an old lady who had been given an original Clyfford Still painting as a housewarming gift, I remembered how much I like his Abstract Expressionism pieces from his time in NY. Of course, the piece she had was his one of his earlier figurative works and not worth nearly as much money as his later work, but 500k ain't bad for a gift.
