I always wanted to be an architect!

All day long I have been trying to avoid a rant about how much I hate the city of Boston, or more specifically Boston's sports teams, in fear that it will only further my anger toward Bostonians and perhaps invoke retaliation from one of my Boston-dwelling friends or clients. So, alas, I found something to take my mind off of the spoiled city of Boston and the Boston Celtic's 17th NBA Championship: it's a compilation of sketches that could potentially provide a blueprint for the construction of George W. Bush's Presidential Library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. And they're fucking hilarious.

Even more amusing, though, might be the website for President Bush's "officious George W. Bush Presidential Library". This is an actual quote from the website:

"This patriotic website will serve as an authoritative digital archive, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the godly legacy of the most honest, peaceful, and intelligent leader in the 6,000 year history of the planet Earth."

Must...resit...stating...the obvious...

HONEST! PEACEFUL! INTELLIGENT! Is this peaceful?

Ah, there are just so many things wrong with this whole idea that it hurts my brain. Not to mention my girlfriend's sister is an SMU Alumnus and I will be visiting Dallas next weekend. Er, I feel like I am tempting fate.

Anyway, I know what you're thinking, and the answer is yes. Yes, I have begun working on my own sketch for the Presidential Library. My blueprint is still in the brainstorming phase, but you can bet your bottom dollar that my plans will include "Dick's Shooting Range" and a huge selection of books on tape for little Georgie and his friends.

Is it November yet?

(a special thanks to my Neighbor, Kitty, for forwarding the sketches)
