O-B-A-M-A!

The Ohio State University's head football coach Jim Tressel is famous for saying that the two most powerful people in Ohio are the Governor and his starting Quarterback, with OSU's QB being the most important. Although this saying has mostly been used as a recruiting tactic for heralded QB prep stars, it has always made me think that this saying of his is just another example of Tressel's humbleness about his own popularity, as he is arguably the most recognizable coach in the state since Woody Hayes (sorry, Bobby Huggins), and also wonder what would happen if such a prescient figure like Coach Tressel endorsed a candidate for office.

I guess it's time to find out.

As Doug Lesmerises of Cleveland.com writes, Coach JT (In JT we trust!) has been quoting Barack Obama in the locker room. Or, well, quoting Martin Luther King Jr. through the inspiration of Barack Obama. I'm not saying Coach Sweater Vest is going to officially back Obama, but you have to admit there could be a few points tipped over to the Democratic vote if Buckeyes continue to spew echoes from Barack Obama's noteworthy speeches prior to the election in November.

I can see Ohio Stadium now: O-B-A-M-A!
